Vibrations

There are a wide range of vibrations in nature. Some of these vibrations, such as sound, light and heat, can be perceived by the human senses.
Other vibrations can only be perceived by certain animals. Other types of vibration are alternating current, radio waves and x-ray radiation. Many of these vibrations can now be measured using technical measuring devices. However, each of these measuring devices can only measure within a narrow wavelength range for wavelengths of sufficient intensity. Measuring devices for very weak light are still in development.
Every day, we are subjected to vibrations of all kinds, for example when we listen to music or sit on a swing. If you hit a tuning fork and then move a second fork tuned to the same note close to it, it will start to vibrate too. Vibrations are everywhere, for example, the atoms in a molecular lattice are vibrating around a position of equilibrium. Even the changing of the seasons, the rotation of the earth, the heart beating and the movement of leaves in the wind are vibrations. In medical terms, this knowledge is used when producing an EEG or ECG. This measures vibrations within the organs in order to detect illnesses. In physics, vibration is defined as energy conversion between two forms of energy. It is known that all matter consists of energy - so vibration is also the basic form of all life.
